Sweet! Surprise

(A partial back-story is required for this post, per my husband's request.)

Last summer, Jeff and I were talking about how amazing Jello Puddin' Pops were. There was something about the icy texture mixed with the creamy swirl, vanilla, and chocolate pudding. So, in an attempt to see where these fine treats went, Jeff emailed Jello. Jeff did receive a response that went something like: Jello no longer makes this product. However, we appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration...

Jeff is convinced that this email single-handedly brought back one of the best treats ever created.

Look what we found at Walmart (which made the trip totally worth it) tonight:

The best part? The recipe hasn't changed! There's still an icy texture, and the pudding is perfectly creamy and delicious.

(Bill) Cosby would be proud...

Oh my goodness! Someone made me aware of this via blog comment a while back and I forgot to tell you. I am a BAD friend. But Jeff sure looks happy though I'm surprised he went for vanilla.

p.s. I watched Bill Cosby's stand-up from the '70s last weekend and it was STILL funny.

I agree Bill Cosby is still funny and I can hear him in my head saying "Jello Pudding Pops".

I can also hear him saying "Dad is great... give us a chocolate cake." Do you remember that part from his stand up? I think it is one of my favorites.

So glad Jeff has his pops again. It is amazing when an email can do.

I like this story. Jeff, thanks for bringing back puddin' pop fever! I am going to get me some as soon as I get off work. We wouldn't want them to change their minds and not sell them again.

Screw the Butterfly affect. Jeff, your efforts were like the flapping of a magnificent Bald Eagle's wings; breathing pudding pop freedom all over the shelves of Wal.Marts throughout American, and on into the bellies of dedicated patriots in this great land. Thank you Jeff. Thank you. You have made a difference.

PS That looks like true love in your eyes as you gaze at your once prodigal pudding pop.

They don't have them at Harmon's yet..... I guess I have to go to Wal-Mart! I am boycotting Wal-Mart! But, I'll have to sneak in :)

I LOVE jello pudding pops. I know so many people that did - I never understood why they took them off the market. I hope somewhere other than Walmart sells them or they will have to stay a fleeting memory for this liberal. Although I thought Bill Cosby was a real dork in those commercials.

I did the same thing about the starburst hearts and I got the exact same response back. I hope Jeff's email really did it because it would give me hope. Love that picture of Jeff so happy about his pudding pop.
