Photostyling Crafts Segment

Here's the segment from Studio 5 today... I really had fun with this topic, and Brooke, the host, was so fun to work with!

Any new readers who are visiting because of the segment, please let me know if you have any questions on what I discussed in the segment- I'd love to help!

And, I can help with product imagery if anyone's interested. If so, email me for rates at laceyjanephotography (at) gmail (dot) com.

(Note: the product featured in the segment is nothing I crafted. (How I wish!) However, if you have any questions on where I got the product, just let me know!)

Photostyling Crafts

Geez- I just realized I haven't blogged in far too long. The summer is keeping us busy!

Just wanted to check-in with you locals to let you know that I'll be on Studio 5 again tomorrow. We'll be discussing how to "Photostyle Crafts." This will be a great segment for all of you amazing craft-sters who are trying to sell your product.

Tune in tomorrow at 11:00 am on Channel 5!

(Note: The earrings in the above photo are not something I crafted... but, how I wish to be so talented.)

A lot

It was my first time baking these cookies tonight. My sister made these at my Recipe Exchange on Tuesday, and knew I'd be baking them. This recipe is perfect if you have a lot of left-over chocolate chips- including different combinations. Throw them into this recipe! Tonight was mint+milk chocolate, and it was a delish combo!

"You and I"

I love Wilco, and I love Feist- incredible collaboration and beautiful song. (Wouldn't you love to sing a solo with Tweedy?! Man. She's a lucky lady.)

Making Jam

Saturday I was jamming with my mom and sister... not that kind of jamming. I'm talking about the kind where you mix fruit with sugar to make delicious jam- and lots of it- yum!

New Jenny Lewis

Jenny Lewis "See Fernando" from Team G on Vimeo.

In anticipation for tonight's show, this is perfect timing. Check out Jenny Lewis' new video for "See Fernando"- definitely! entertaining.

And so it begins...

We're starting to hang pictures for our "picture wall." This is what we've got so far. We've already sketched the preferred lay-out, but have quickly come to find- this is a time consuming project. If you have any tips, please share!

The two silhouettes of us on the wall are hand-cut; this was our souvenir while in Disneyland. I remember my cousins had their family's silhouettes done in Disneyland that were displayed on their wall and every time I saw them, I wanted one.

So here are ours. (I do think she got my nose spot-on. Jeff looks like a little boy in his, but I suppose we all act somewhat "little" while at Disneyland!)

Michael Jackson...

Thanks to my sister, this morning we worked-out to the pop sounds of Mr. Michael Jackson himself. It was a glorious soundtrack for the (very hard) cardio that I was pushing myself through in the wee hours of the morning. And, Mr. Jackson definitely helped.

Some of my favorites:

"Pretty Young Thing"

"Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough"

"Rock With You"

Wow. I dare you to try and NOT get happy after listening to the above songs. Awesome!
