And so it begins...
We're starting to hang pictures for our "picture wall." This is what we've got so far. We've already sketched the preferred lay-out, but have quickly come to find- this is a time consuming project. If you have any tips, please share!
The two silhouettes of us on the wall are hand-cut; this was our souvenir while in Disneyland. I remember my cousins had their family's silhouettes done in Disneyland that were displayed on their wall and every time I saw them, I wanted one.
So here are ours. (I do think she got my nose spot-on. Jeff looks like a little boy in his, but I suppose we all act somewhat "little" while at Disneyland!)

I am in the process of figurng out my picture wall too. It is very time consuming.
Love the silhouettes!
It is SO much work. I started this project back in ... November? I've got it bad because I can't put nails in the wall so I have to use adhesive and once it's up it cannot be moved!
You and Jeff do everything right so it will look fabulous. And you'll probably get it done before me. What else is new?
LOVE the silhouettes!
My tip: We figured out which pictures we wanted to use, which size, etc... then layed it all out on the floor and rearranged it until it looked just right. Then I cut out pieces of paper that were exactly the same size as the frames and then lightly taped the paper to the wall in the same layout. I adjusted the papers until they seemed just right. Then I put a nail through the piece of paper... tore the paper off... put the frame on the nail... and voila. I was amazed at how well it all worked out! Good luck!
I love that you two had silhouettes done at Disneyland. I had no idea that they were hand cut until our last trip. So neat! You'll have to post the afters of your wall, I'd love to see it finished. :)
Thanks guys! Ellen- LOVE your idea- totally going to use it!
Please take a picture when it is finished!
You will do fabulous! It is never my fav task, but when it is finished... Martha Stewart recomends the paper on the wall method, and I have found it much easier than guessing! I would love to link to you...
