Oh, What a Week...

Yesterday, I had a dentist appointment to fill a cavity. I came into work with a numb lip. I tried to drink some Orange Juice, but it all came dribbling out of the side of my mouth. So, it really looked like I had a stroke. I couldn’t talk, and my fellow co-workers thought it was so funny that they began to point and even laugh at me.

Oh, I also did something to my back (again) over the weekend. Maybe it was all the bending, styling, shooting that took place out on the Salt Flats, OR, it was most likely I slept funny. So, I’m walking incorrectly lately. i.e., I look like an elderly woman hobbling, shuffling to get to any/all destinations.

So, on Monday I had a numb lip, and I couldn’t walk… trust me. I looked ridiculous.

Luckily, my lip’s no longer numb, but it’s still painful to walk normal.

Then, tonight, at my Recipe Exchange, we each brought a “Family Favorite.” I brought a dip that my family enjoys almost every other get together. Garnished with carrots, snap-peas, or potato chips… it’s yummy. Too bad my fellow Recipe Exchangers didn’t think so. I, too, was shunned by my fellow Vegetarian friends, as the dip had Clam in it… that’s right Clam.

Which, I’ve come to realize- is Clam the poor man’s fish? No. One. Wanted to eat it. No. One. I don’t know what’s worse- no one eating my Clam Dip, or the need for me to declare my newly un-vegetarian diet because I eat Clam… (Oh, I occasionally eat Salmon or Halibut every 3 months or so, too.)

(And if any of you Recipe Exchangers are reading, hope you know I’m joking with you. Sorta.)

Oh what a week, and! it’s only Tuesday.
Let's reminisce about happier times:

(I like taking photos.)

Too funny! I've had clam dip before and I liked it. But I'm about as far from vegetarian as it gets.

And I'll be sure to tell Jim not to point and laugh at you anymore. I'm sure he was involved.

Sorry it's been a bum week. Just sit back, relax, eat all your dip and stare at your AMAZING photos! I have enjoyed all of them, but I'm really adoring the blue dress and braided hair.

Here's to a better day!

I'll eat your clam dip any time, LJ.

Oh no! I have to admit I'm not a clam person, either. But I'm guessing this wasn't so much a clam dip, as a dip with some clam in it. It wasn't called antipasto by chance, was it? That's a "family dip" from my people that has clam in it. I call it a "sick mix."

Aaaanyway. Rest assured that your photos are beautiful. I really really love the bottom one. Great angle.

Hello fellow back ache-er. I also mysteriously hurt my back this week and have been shuffeling around like an old woman as well. Not only do I get your visual, I am your visual. I tried some of those stick on patches that heat up. Found some at Albertson's for less than 2 dollars. It seemed to help while they were on, just be advised that it's like waxing your back when you take them off the first time. Good luck.

You know, as a former vegetarian, I've got to side with your food-clubbers. Clam - - - NOT VEGETARIAN.

I think you should make the suspicious clam dip for your coworkers and let us test it out for you. We'll give you an unbiased, non-vegetarian opinion.
