This book was so moving to me. It was deeply sad and had me laughing at the same time. My emotions were all over the board.

I loved her voice in this memoir. She was reflective but not bitter. This is amazing coming from the childhood she experienced.

So glad that you read it. Wish we could have a mini book club about it.

I loved the book too. What a remarkable story. It was so refreshing to a someone's story infused with so much tragedy yet relayed with no blame, or "poor me". She's an incredible woman.

I couldn't put it down it was so frustrating but then she had such a good attitude about it her whole experience. I couldn't believe people really lived like that. Thanks for the recomendation.
