Reading

I haven't written about the books I've read lately... I always appreciate any book recommendation, so thought I'd post mine here, just in case any of you are looking for a new read.

I heard great things about "The Other Boleyn Girl," so I started reading it last month. I'll admit, it took me a long time to finish it. But, around 400 pages in (yes, it took me that long) it became quite the page-turner. Some of the writing was overly cheesy, but still, very interesting. I'd recommend it. (Now, I'm dying to see the movie- anyone see it? Any good?)

In the middle of reading "Boleyn" I stopped to read the sweet story of "Grayson." Based on actual events, it's about a bond that forms between a whale and a girl who's on her morning swim. Fun, light read, and the cover art's adorable.

Currently, I'm reading the newest Jodi Picoult book for my book club. Picoult always picks such controversial topics for her novels, and this also is true in "19 Minutes." So far the story's about a high schooler who opens fire on his classmates. Not sure what I think about the book yet... But, it's definitely kept me intrigued, as she gives a lot of the back story that leads up to this extreme event.

Reading something you're loving? Do share!

Did William Stafford hook you too? Or was that just me? It was such a surprise for such a sweet story to start so far into the book.

I haven't seen the movie either - but I want to. Now I'm debating whether I should read the book first. Should I?

I loved 19 Minutes! I'm currently reading The Host, by Stephenie Meyer. It's long and takes awhile to get into it. At about page 91, they finally had my attention. Now I can't put it down!

I just read The Boleyn Inheritance by the same author and it took me quite awhile to get into it, but I persevered and it turned out pretty good!
