with a cover song by Glen Hansard (of the Swell Season). He covers Britney Spears' "Everytime."
The melody of this song is very basic, and I always (guiltily) thought the melody was beautiful, but couldn't handle Britney singing. Now... with Glen's voice and a stunning violin that carries a lot of the melody... it's a fantastic cover.
My favorite part, 3:15 into the track, the violinist begins to carry the "Canon in D" melody into the track... and, it totally works.
I'm such a sucker for a good cover. Listen to the song in the right-hand column of my blog.

I think I am going to become obsessed too. This is beautiful. Beautiful.
Please note: I do not think B. Spears is a good singer by any stretch of the imagine. I am just slightly interested in her crazy psyche and life. It makes no rational sense to me but I can't fight it. I've tried.
Thanks for sharing this. I always love your music tips.
I swear, Glen Hansard could cover Mambo Number 5 and it would still sound good. This sounds amazing.
this is beautiful. thanks for sharing.
I also loved this song too, but BS voice is brutal!! I love this version.
