When in doubt, I ALWAYS make these cookies.
They're a crowd favorite. My friend Candice (thanks Candice!) gave me this recipe a couple of years ago, and I'm so glad she did. I've been a hero at many-a-parties because of them.
They're soft and chewy with lots of chocolate. (My favorite kind of cookie.)
Here's the recipe:
Monster Cookies
1/2 C. soft butter
1 C. packed brown sugar
1 C. sugar
2 t. baking soda
1 T. vanilla extract
1 1/2 C. peanut butter
3 eggs beaten
8 oz. mini M&Ms
8 oz. milk choc. chips
4 1/2 C. oatmeal
Preheat oven 350.
Cream butter and both sugars together. Add soda, vanilla, peanut butter and eggs. Mix well. Mix in M&Ms, choc. chips and oatmeal. Drop cookie dough in rounded balls two inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 min. Cookies should be soft!!
Makes 4 dozen. (They really do- perfect to take to a party.)

These are always my favorite too and for some reason they seem like the perfect cookie for autumn. I like to add butterscotch chips.
I know no one that makes these cookies better than you. I will eat a whole tray, if you let me. :)
